Have you ever lost contact with someone and for a very long time have tried to find them, but with no luck?
I have and tonight I finally found him! I met him when I was very young and we just lost touch. However tonight I finally found him and I am really excited to catch up.
It's funny isn't it what Facebook has brought into our lives. The reconnection with friends from the past - I just love it. I've found school friends, work friends, holiday friends, people that I have even forgotten! But I have to say it's been fun catching up with everyone and tonight has been the best.
I even had a dream about my friend on Friday night so thought I would try again to find him and was successful. Thanks Facebook :)
So it was another peaceful day in Morley Manor today.....
I took my Mum home early today and we had a visit from the Electrician.
Andddddd the highlight of my day wasn't this:
this
or this.....
Although she is cute!
But thissssssss
Yep that's how sad I am LOL
Not long now until I can plug in the spa :)
I had another lovely late afternoon Nana Nap and then welcomed Louise to stay the night. So tonight it's me, Louise and Embee Louise.
It's a Baby Jake free house and I'm loving it! hehehe. Nahhh I miss him a little, but shhhhhh again, we cannot share these things out loud or Jake might hear!
And tonight I would like to leave you with this:
So kids have a good night and a good Monday and see you tomorrow!

Friendships and Story Telling
Sorry I am a little late tonight kids. You see I was helping out a friend, who at the moment needed a shoulder to lean on.
Being a good friend works two ways. Sometimes they listen to you, support you and sometimes it works the other way.
I have had friends say to me over the years, that you are always listening to me and my drama's and I would say to them, one day it will be the other way around. That's how it works. And god knows over the last couple of years it def has been the other way around.
My Mum once said to me that I am so lucky to have so many wonderful friends, but I said "Mum, you don't just have friends. You have to work at having friends." So tonight was me being there for my friend. Not to blow her off because I had to write my blog, or cook dinner or anything else. But to be that shoulder, that ear, that support.
I read recently on the net a story asking the question: Do you consider yourself a good friend? Do you make time for your friends? Do you listen? Or is it all about you? I like to think that when push comes to shove that I am a friend that does listen, that is there.
You see I take my friendships seriously and I don't just let anyone in, close to my heart. Now that could be a good thing or a bad thing. But here is THE THING. Once I am your friend I am very loyal and I would like to think that if you ever needed help I would be there for you, no matter what. Because to me that is the value of a true friend.
And on the subject of good friends.... a good friend of mine tonight sent me a link to a very interesting article asking Why Do People Share Online?
I was asked this question today actually. I guess for me, I am a story teller. Have always been one, as far back as I can remember.
Sorry just had to go downstairs and break up a "play fight...." between Ashlee and Baby Jake. There was a lot of screaming and I wasn't sure who it was hehehe.
So back to sharing online.... LOL
The article made a lot of sense. It spoke of how the sharing of information, thoughts and idea's is not something new. It's something that has always happened. Between generations of families. Of stories being passed along to younger generations.
Nowadays modern technology just makes this easier, faster to do.
I used to listen a lot of my Grandad's stories. We would sit on the back stairs at night and look at the stars or we might be driving along and he would share his stories of being in the Army in World War 2, of family of a different time and now that he has gone, a lot of these stories have gone with him. I only remember some, not all. And he sure had some good ones!
So maybe, by writing this blog, by sharing my stories, my own thoughts, that when the day comes and I am no longer here, my own stories can live on and not go with me....

It's just another Manic Monday.....
Well today was the typical Monday morning. Hard to get out of bed and get going! You know how it goes... But once you get up, one foot in front of the next, well before you know it, it will be Thursday..... the downward slide Kids! :)
Today we had our bitumen driveway cut in preparation for some drainage later in the week. Andddddddd my knee is heeling quite nicely! And you guys think my life is dull! LOL
And yesterday I did that horrible job, no not clean the bathroom (although that sucks the BIG ONE!) I actually sat down and sorted out all the papers for personal, home, warranties and even a folder for my MUM! to keep and worked out which ones to cull.
Ashlee said to me, "I only have one concertina folder" and I said yeahhhh but wait until you are my age! hehehe. So even though I hate this job with a passion, it is a good feeling when you are on top of things.
I am sooo organised at work. Of course being a Team Assistant it's my job to be. But filing away my own crap - not so good!
I also watched that new show last night Wildboys which was on Channel 7. Not bad, a bit slow to start with but I reckon it will ramp up! And please, who cares..... it's got nice Eye Candy!! :)
I heard from a friend in America today. It got me thinking about how friends come into our lives. I have met people in so many different ways. From school, work, Nightclubs!, concerts, holidays, through other friends, ex girlfriends from other friends, internet sites (nooooo not RSVP!!!), my hairdressers - past & present. You name it I got em hehehe.
Friendships are a very important part of my life. They have got me through some pretty tough times so far in this life of mine. And I have always believed that you don't have a Best Friend, you have many Great Friends!!
And it's always sad when friendships end. Sometimes you know why, sometimes you don't. And at times there are tears, sadness and just a deep feeling of loneliness.
I have learned that friends come and go, and your life goes on. I have made new friends since that time — some have come and gone, and some have remained.
Has anyone else out there experienced the same thing? Ever wonder why? Perhaps this poem will shed some light on things for you:
Reason, Season, or Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
