Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead......

Ok Groover's so I promised you something special in tonight's Morley Report and here it is...

Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead...

Over the New Year my friend Karen shared a story with me. You see one of her friend's who is in her mid 30's is recovering from cancer and she is a big advocate for Juicing and also mentioned this documentary called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.

First of all let me share with you the website for the DVD:

Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead

This documentary shares with you the story of Joe Cross, a successful Australian business man who is overweight, sick and is unhappy with his health and decides to travel to America and go on a juicing diet with amazing results. And just when he thinks his story is finished he meets a new friend who requires his help.

Now I don't want to spoil it but here is the thing: this documentary is being shown on both GEM channel 1st February @ 9.30am and then on Channel 9, 9th February @ 11.30pm. You so need to either watch it or tape it.

The whole idea of getting healthy, staying healthy where a side effect is weight loss well hello can it get any better than that!!

And Joe Cross is just about to launch his DVD through Woolworths here in Australia. He has a program called Reboot Your Life, here is the link:

Reboot Your Life

So the question is to Juice or not to Juice.....

I would love to hear what you kids think, once you see the Documentary.

love

Stay away from fad diets. Juice is very healthy but can also be full of sugar, so remember to juice veges in with the fruit. Personally, I cant drink juice as its too acidic on my stomach. Be careful, and remember, most people put more weight on after fad diets than they did before. And watch the sugar content!

Hmmm I'm slugging down my cucumber, celery, lemon and apple drink right now and damn I love it. I've given up tea in the morning now and I actually crave my breakfast juice now. Good promo Kazza xx

I'm 2/3 through the 15-day program listed on the site. I did it more for a cleanse and not a diet. I don't believe this is a fad. The recipes focus more on veggie-based juices than plan fruit juice. It's a lifestyle change and a wakeup call about how to focus eating vitamin rich foods. I feel great! After my 15 days, I plan to refocus my diet on eating more fruit and veg. Good luck to all who give it a go!

Loved the doco. Those guys are legends! Think changing lifestyle forever is probably more sustaining and healthier option. Little bit of exercise every day concious and calorie-restrictive diet/eating is necessary (not that i can talk!, but my healthier friends are examples of how this is the way to go. LOVE watching Biggest Loser, but worry about the health risks of pushing body that far not fit and not sure if it's realistic once they've left the compound.
