You always need to be prepared

for HUMP DAY!

And a girl can never go wrong really wearing a Red Hard Hat at work.... or can she? LOL. You be the Judge!

I like to call this one Lady in Redddddddddddddd

And my friend Leon I discovered today, has a new eyebrow piercing and if you look really close you will see he has one ear pierced too. Now if he ends up with a tattoo watch OUT!!

Today at work I was talking to one of the guys (who likes to make chicken noises to the radio music sometimes.... which makes me giggle!) about the new Muppet Movie, as he has a young son and I thought it might be something they could both go along too. And I always tell him that he reminds me of Camilla the chicken. You know the one Gonzo loves!

And so I have read that the new Muppet Movie is really really good buttttt sad and that you need to take your tissues along....

And that got me thinking... which can be a scary thing. 1. for Jake and 2. for my brain!

So I was thinking about the first time I took Jake to see a movie. It was the Disney movie with Robin Williams - Aladdin!

Now I myself really wanted to see this movie because I love Robin Williams and had heard he was very funny as the Genie. I think Jake might have been about three years old and I thought I would be brave and give it a shot!

Jake love it and spent the whole movie on the floor! Checking out the glowing lights down the aisle. He was mesmerized by them!

So whilst YES I saw the movie, I didn't really get to hear the Robin William jokes :( Nice one Jake! You owe me baby....

And of course as I have mentioned in previous posts on other Movie Outings Jake has not once BUT TWICE put his arm in the drink holder and got it stuck!

And can I just say that it is an art form to try and remove a stuck arm from one of those little suckers whilst people are still watching the movie around YOU!!!!!

But do you know what I love the most about going to Kid Movies? It's when kids laugh. They laugh at things we don't find remotely funny and then we find ourselves laughing at the kids laughing.

Orrrrrrrr there is part in the movie that is silent and there is that one kid who just finds something funny in the movie and laughs out loud. They def have no shame.... good on them I say :)

Can you remember the first movie you ever went to?

Mmmmm sooo it took me a bit to remember but you know I think when I was little my Nana took me "up the road" from our house to The Paddo picture theatre (which was in Paddington in Brisbane) to see a Snoopy movie during the school holidays.

Although I do remember a story that my Mum told me about going to the pictures when I was very young and all I wanted to do was keep going to the toilet.

Not much has changed since those daysssssss hehehe.

And I remember that The Paddo picture theatre in the very front rows had these old hessian sling back seats and my Nana packed us Ham sandwiches LUCKY ME! AND I think I was allowed to buy one packet of lollies! Something like a packet of Jaffas!

Ahhhhh the good days.....

Makes you realise just how far we have come doesn't it.

Could this be YOU?

Do you find that at this time of year people are worn out, crabby, fed up and in dire need of a holiday?

For those of you that have school aged kids this is now the time (more than normal times....) when they all start to become ratty!

And I can remember myself when I was back at school how by the end of the year we were all getting on each others nerves and the break did us all good :)

And excuse me but didn't I just have a week off? What's the go there.....

I like to describe Friday's as a WASHER! You know when you ring a washer out after a bath and get the last bit of water out! Well that's me on a Friday - A Washer.

Because when I'm laying in bed and telling myself "just one more day until the weekend" it's like all I've got left is that bit of water in the washer.

Soooooo when the end of the year is upon us I think we are all Giant Washers. I know I think deep hehehe.

Bring on Xmas holidays Groover's. The End.

On other news well here is the latest pic of our nesting Mumma bird outside my window! I would say she now has eggs as she is always on the nest. Ahhh the life of a Mum!

And then there was some Spa Shenanigans!

First of all Jake had to take a pregnancy test. Here is the result....

It came back positive! So stay tuned.....

Thennnnnnnnn I was given a viewing of Jake's tattoo enjoying the spa :(

And of course Baby Jake!

Then I found out we have a new member of Morley Manor.

Let me introduce - CRAIG!

I know I asked the same question: Why Craig?

There was really no answer.... that's just his name. I was told though not to get too close to Craig because he has a weeing problem!

He ain't wrong.... straight into my ear!

But then we all made up and became happy families

Now there is one family member that was feeling a little left out. Problem was she is not a lover of the spa :(

Here is Embee Louise hiding in her safe place!

Then she was brave and came closer

and closerrrrrrrr

Andddddddddddddddd there she was!

There was no way some dude called Craig was going to take her place with her Mumma and Jake!!!

But here is the thing that I learnt tonight: Never have a spa before writing The Morley Report. Why? Becauseeeeeeeeeeee I get way to relaxed. And it's great to be relaxed don't get me wrong but problem is I start to go down hill very very quickly after a spa....

On that note it's time to go watch I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Night!

Did I Do That?

Well last night right before going to bed (Michael Buble was waiting there for me...) I had to go downstairs and put the cover over the spa. Buttttttt when I got there I decided to put my hand in. Wrong move.

It felt divine! And it was such a clear night that I decided to have a spa.

Problem.

My togs were upstairs, so I went into Baby Jake and Ashlee and said "I'm going to have a nude spa, so nobody come outside". Wellllllll you should have seen their faces it was like I said "I just found a treasure chest with a million dollars in it buried in the back yard!". THEY LOOKED SURPRISED.

Okkkk maybe not surprised maybe uncomfortable... but hey this little Groover still has some grooving left to do. It's not all crocheting and maypole dancing you know!

And you know kids I wish I could share with you the view that I had. AMAZEBALLS to quote a friend of mine.... D

Andddddd can you believe I was lucky enough to have seen not one BUT TWO shooting stars.

Of course I made two wishes!

I love looking into the night sky and star gazing. I used to do it (star gazing that is...) when I was on holidays in Kingscliff with our roof top spa but now (insert excited kiddie giggle) I have my very own spa in my backyard :)

It soooo feels like being on a holiday when you are not! I love it!!

Only Embee was game enough to come outside with me. I did offer to Jake but for some unknown reason he turned me down??? tee hee

And boy was today hot here in Brisbane. Crazy crazy hot!!!

Thank the lord for the great air conditioning at work!!! And when I got home tonight my air con couldn't have kicked in quick enough. Who cares if I can't afford to eat for six months because of my electricity bill.... At least I won't be sweaty :) Hey and I'll be thin from no food. Win win situation there Groover's LOL

And just quietly it wasn't a bad sort of Monday to be honest. Of course nothing beats a Friday butttt today was ok!

Currently I am typing this on my bed in my air conditioned bedroom and Jake and Embee are having play fights. I have warned them if they scare the Mumma bird laying on her nest to watch out!!!

Crazy kids...

Ok, gotta pull these two into line. Now where is that wooden spoon with the faded smiling face on it (as it used to like to hit bottoms back in the day!) hehehe. I even still cook with it.....

"Sunday clears away the rust of the whole week"

Sunday clears away the rust of the whole week
~ A Quote by Joseph Addison.

Amen to that one Joseph!

Today was one of those Sundays that felt good....

Had a great sleep in!

And woke up feeling refreshed!

Made some breakfast!

Did some Yard Work!

Okkkkkkkk maybe it's not that bad! Buttttt it's def on it's way take a look at this:

I've run out of money for turf, soooooo if you know a Turf Company that would like great exposure here on my blog, let me know! I'm happy to give updates on how well my hole is going! :)

Otherwise it looks like there will be no grass until the new year!!

My spa was too hot sooooooooo I played under the hose and felt like a little kid again :)

Relaxed in my icy cold bedroom with my air con set on the igloo setting! (What Electricity bill??)

I decided to make a little roast pork belly lunch for myself anddddddddd partake in a little beverage! Cause that's how I roll.....

Then I decided to have a late afternoon warm spaaaaaaa. Mmmmm loved it!

I think there are going to be some big changes coming my way soon. But you know what Groovers - life would be boring if it stayed the same all the time!

Jake and I took my Mum out yesterday for lunch from her retirement village to Bribie Island (not too far from where Mum lives) and I said to her that you know compared to this time last year - Life is Great for all of us. And even though Jake is still on the lookout for a job, he is very happy that he decided to leave the last job.

It's nice when for a little bit... life seems on track. Of course we all have those times in our lives when we are so far away from that track in ain't funny. But hang in there my friends before you know it you will be back on the track, sitting in first class on the Train and moving forward to a pretty darn good destination!

For if you want to live your life, you gotta drive the train!
