Get me out of hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Approx. 3 years ago I discovered a little show called I’m a Celebrity Get me out of Here.

Now I had heard of this show before, this was how Peter Andre and Jordan aka Katie Price got together. And I knew that it was filmed somewhere in Australia at a place they call “The Jungle” and a few years back I think it was even shown on Australian free to air TV.

I found it via Foxtel, (Australia’s Cable Television provider) on the UK Channel and I loved it!!!

Now normally I am not into blood and guts TV. I mean back in the day when ER first came out I tried to be brave but just couldn’t watch all the blood and gore. Even when I told myself it was fake!!

Now I’m not saying that at times I don’t cringe watching I’m a Celeb, I do…. Andddddd there are even some trials and challenges that I have to watch through my closed hands. Not that there is anything wrong with that!! THERE ISN’T!

But what I do find extremely entertaining are the two hosts Ant & Dec. My god their humour is so out there and still after all these years of presenting this show you can tell they get a kick out of it.

They released a book a couple of years ago celebrating their 20th year anniversary called "Ant & Dec Ooh! What a Lovely Pair".

I ordered the book and have to tell you Groover’s it was a fascinating read and a great insight into their friendship as well as their working relationship.

Now the reason my blog tonight is dedicated to I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is that tomorrow night at 7.30pm, on the GO Channel (Channel 99 here in Australia) their show is finally making another Australian comeback and kids you CANNOT miss this show!

Over the last few years that I have watched it I have enjoyed watching friendships develop as in George Takei from Star Trek and Joe Swash from The EastEnders and to laugh and cry with these celebrities as they go on their own journey in The Jungle. And I guess to some of us here in Australia, well we may not know many of them but it is still interesting to watch them interact with each other and then see who is voted to do the horrendous Bush Tucker challenges just so that their team mates can eat!!

Now I have been lucky to have met both Ant & Dec anddddddddddddd have them sign my copy of their book. I found them to be soooo friendly and approachable and whilst we spoke to Dec more he did call Ant over to sign my book and we talked about both being Scorpio’s, because let’s face it; Scorpio’s have it alllll going on! LOL

And I did give Dec his very own challenge to eat the Sticky Black Rice dessert at the Thai Restaurant we were at, here is a pic:

And I am telling you it looks like something they would eat as a challenge in the Jungle but I have been told by my friend Elaine, it’s delish!

Still waiting to hear if Dec did the deed......

It’s great when you meet someone that you enjoy watching on TV or who sing eg. Michael Buble and find that when you do get to meet them in real life, they really aren’t any different to what you see on the stage. And I found Ant & Dec to be very down to earth and that we share a similar sense of humour. Which really should be quite frightening for Ant & Dec to be compared to me hehehe.

I have also been able to chat to Joe Swash and found him to be charming to talk to and very down to earth, just as Ant & Dec were ☺

I have even had the chance to talk with some of the production team (Tom what happened to our drinks?) with Granada TV who produce I’m a Celeb and only last week was I privy to information that Australia’s Emily Scott would be the next celebrity going into the jungle. Of course my lips were sealed!!! Until now but it’s safe to mention as she went into the Jungle last Saturday.

So when it starts tomorrow night we will only find ourselves approx. a week and a half behind the live show, which in comparison to other years isn’t that bad at all!

And in keeping with the jungle theme, when I returned to work yesterday I had this little boy “Leon” waiting at my desk! You see as I celebrated my birthday away last week my lovely friend Andrew bought him for me.

Here is a pic of Andrew and Leon! Andrew is the one on the left :)

And can I just share a quick story with you. Yesssssss it’s about Buble, but I am sure you will be fine. Ok so I remember hearing about a few years back that Michael received a talking Teddy Bear (you see when you push Leon’s left foot he talks!) and so because of all the gifts that Michael receives he decided to give the Teddy Bear to his young nephew.

But here’s the thing, when his nephew pressed the button on the Teddy Bears arm instead of talking like my Leon, about being a Lion, living in the Jungle etc. it was a recording of the Fan’s voice – describing what she wanted to do to Michael Buble! Hehehehe. True Story Groover’s.

But alas Leon isn’t that way inclined…. And believe me I have pressed his button numerous times LOL.

And just like the movie “When Harry Met Sally” we had our own version today at work, a little thing I like to call

When Seamus Met Leon.....

Well kids DO NOT forget 7.30pm tomorrow night, GO Channel (in Australia) I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Night

Me xxx

P.S.
My friend finally came home from hospital late this afternoon. Jake and I reunited her with her babies Bella & Star and settled her in. It will def be a hard slog on the road to recovery but Deb I know you will be able to do it! Hang in there kiddo xxx.

Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.

Is it hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I'm thinking about creating my own
