Sunday Morley Shenanigan's!

So it was an early start this morning for Baby Jake, Ashlee and Louise. (I got up a little later.... cause I'm old!) The Garage Sale started at 7am but the first people arrived at 6am!

I babysat the "kids" upstairs and for the first time since moving in, I have an office. I spent the morning cleaning and sorting and have come across some interesting photo's that I will share with you over the next few weeks.

But here are few pics from today:

Deb came and picked up Bella and Star in the afternoon and took a pic of "The Morley's" which of course now includes Ashlee! Mind you we look pretty sad... hehehe but hey it's been a big weekend!

I like to call this one: Morley's on the Lawn!

And after Deb and the kids left, I spent the rest of the afternoon hosing our driveway to clean it from all the dirt from the filling of my hole!

I love hosing! I find it relaxing. Of course nowadays I was prob "illegal" when I was doing it, with the water restrictions. But to be honest I don't even know what they are anymore. Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it...

But it got me thinking.... if you had told me I wouldn't be allowed to hose a few years back, I would have laughed at you.

Growing up in Australia, most little kids would play on a hot day, such as today, under a garden sprinkler.

Who would have ever believed that there would come a time when this would not be allowed.

But do you know that I can in fact remember a time when I was about 10 and I sooo wanted a Slip'n'Slide.
My friends across the road had one and I couldn't wait until Christmas, because Mum had bought me one! Buttttttt back then, some law came out about not being able to have one due to water restrictions and I remember Mum having to take it back. I never got to use it even once... :(

Funny how things come back around, as we now find ourselves with water restrictions again.

And check this out: Halloween came early today to Morley Manor!

Well it was a very constructive weekend and we wouldn't have been able to do everything and look after Bella and Star without Ashlee and Louise. We owe them sooo much! :)

Baby Jake has only just woken up a little while ago after falling asleep on his lounge. Embee has had a bath and smells like a girl again and Mumma is ready for bed and it's only 8pm!!! But I guess as Jake said this morning: when you get up so early you pack so much into the day. This morning Jake went out to get us all breakfast but I thought it was more like 11am. Noooo it was 9am!! So we def have packed quite a lot into today, that's for sure.

Well that's the day that was.

Signing out til next time!
